ONE OF HEARTS CHARACTERISTICS

Heart is like a house, if we live in it, it will be alive, but if not, it will be broken and unhappy. Dzikir (remembering) and obedience is heart’s inhabitant, while dereliction and wickedness is heart’s destroyer. Those who always remember and be obedience, the heart shall always live; and those who negligent and lack of dzikir (remembering), the heart shall die.
Closeness (Uns) with Allah SWT depends on the number of negligence, dereliction and bad deeds. People who have close relationship (Uns) with Allah SWT will not feel and be alone since Allah SWT shall always be with them, everywhere they are not seeing anything. He who is obedient to Allah SWT then anything will be obedient to him. People amazed when they see some wild animals with proper behavior were surrounding a suffi, “Don’t be curious. You only improve your physics, that’s why you afraid to the lion. While us, we improve our spiritual, then the lion shall be afraid to us”, said the suffi.
Those suffis are gone from this natural world together with Its Creator, but the people besides them are covered by nature, because of their weak faith and little help from Allah SWT. Being covered from Allah SWT is a torture. A covered person is a troubled person, but Allah SWT always gives help to His servants and so he will not turn from Him as a person who will always remember Him and aware. Then he supposed to be grateful. But if Allah makes him negligence, lack of dzikir, or always do bad deeds, then he supposed to ask for His forgiveness, return to the right path, and ask for His protection.
We should know that gifts of Allah SWT are given every single time and His Mercy is very wide, covers all of His creations either the obedience or the negligence. Some of the suffi said: “I prefer to be placed in hell in an obedience condition rather than to be placed in heaven in sin because the purpose of heaven is to get His ridhlo. Torture of hell is because of His anger. Therefore, know your God voluntarily, without any forces. As mentioned in his poetry:
If days become harder
And easy times have passed by
I come to You,
O my source of ease and difficulties
You are the owner of tent which pins
Embedded deep in my heart
Disclosure of my distance coverage,
And the giver of noble gift to me,
When I faced many difficulties
You are there with me
To erase all of my pains
And sadness
O My Lord, every time I am hoping for You
You are the Ruler of Nature and the Creator of creation.
To Allah, trust Allah every single time
And from Allah, hope for mercy
Yaa Allah, we ask for Your forgiveness, companionship with You and heaven, and we also take shelter to You from Your anger and hell.
Yaa Allah, we ask for Your forgiveness; forgive us, people whom we love and the Muslim people, because You are the Most Merciful.
