The Need of Knowledge to Devotion
    

Muadz bin Jabal r.a said, “Know everything that you want to know, but Allah will not give rewards to you until you devote”.

Our leader, al Imam Abdullah bin Alwi al Haddad r.a said, “The essence from devoting knowledge is to devote from it in what of it is capable of and learn from it as well as teach from it in what it is possibly can teach. Meanwhile, who can know and devote all knowledge? But together with those matters, someone should have faith that he does not reach the perfection of knowledge yet, either in devotion, comprehension, or teaching”, quoted from the book of Tastbit al Fuad.

Sufyan ats-Tsauriy rhm said, “Knowledge calls devotion if devotion receives knowledge and if it is not, then knowledge will leave it”. It means the meaning and essence of knowledge has gone and what left behind are only the forms and pictures that will ask for responsibility to the owner.
